Me and my buddy pulled a 12 hour day working on tying up all of the loose ends on the car. It all went pretty smoothly and fired on the second try with a jump. I jumped out of the car as it loped away and jumped up and down. I am so happy with the lope, the way she runs is a little rough still, still sorting out some timing/ vacuum issues, but overall she really runs great. The KC clutch grabs SO much higher than my old one. One hold up we had when we were filling up the tranny with royal purple synthetic manual gearbox fluid we got to the second quart and it flowed wayyyy to easily. my buddy poured some in his hand and it was pure water It was a miscommunication between my friend and my brother: my bro cut off the top of the bottle thinking my friend opened the seal and my friend thought he cut the top and broke the seal. So I took awhile letting it all drain out and wasting a crap load of money for good stuff. I went to kroger and picked up 2 quarts of the cheap auto **** and we are back on the road. It started overheating so we added some water and gave it a few revs after letting it cool for a few minutes and any blockages seem to have been dissipated. I have to tune it up and stuff then when I get some more money I am ordering a PMS. Pics and a vid tomorrow!!!

lol we found the vacuum tube that goes to it For those that don't know what we are referring to I had a baaaad vacuum leak so I called Josh from the quik trip parking lot(the neighbors didn't like us tuning it at midnight ) and asked how man vacuum lines came off the intake, then my bro found a vac fitting that was wide open and so I took a push in clip out of my kick panel, wrapped it in a condom and pushed it into the fitting, held pretty well My bro has a pic on his phone that we sent to josh. BTW the car straight up rips. It is soooo nasty, I have a surging idle right now, its a really slow surge, it just kindof slowly varies between 700 and 1000, not really a surge. All these bugs will get sorted out then it is hitting the dyno next weekend.
lol the damn thing scares me right now as it is. I am babying the shifts and it still shreds! I got some good ass videos that are uploading.
Congrats on finishing the build. There's nothing like that first drive! On a serious note. Something doesn't quite sound right. I dont know how big the cam is but...i've never heard a motor sound like that. What's the timing and fuel pressure set at. Where's it idling at...sounds really low. Work all the bugs out before you go beating on it too bad. Get the thing on a dyno and let us know the numbers. Looks like a real clean install though! Nice work.
