So, the first Shelby GT goes for $600K. At least you get the option to buy the 2nd one for sticker, so 2 cars for $635K isn't nearly as bad :p Then the winner of this car bought Shelby's SuperCobra (the 66 427 w/twin SCs) for $5 million!

Must be nice to have more dollars than sense.

Tell me about it. That same guy also bought a 69 ZL-1 Camaro for $700 or 800k less than a 1/2 hour after he bought the 2 Shelbys.

Charity people. regardless if the car is worth 1 dollar, or 30 thousand dollars, that money went towards an excellent cause. If he's willing to spend that much to aid who knows how many kids, then i'm all for that.

+1. If he wants to help out some kids somewhere in the world and wants to buy cars to do that, then more power to him.

No doubt about the charity issue. I should have made that point in my original post.

I agree. I'm just jealous that I can't afford to do it and drive home in style.

What about that CNN HUMMER that the 2 guys that were bidding on.....
I am glad the second guy that was bidding gave $250,000 check to the charity also,,,decent guy.....
What pissed me offffff was that little freaking guy that wears the Ferrari cap...He comes up to the camera and gives thumbs up,,,,what about him matching a $250,000 check...
The guy with the Ferrari cap on buys the cars for his brother,so its not his money but many think it is ....
I wish he would bid against me,,,,,,and wish he would jump around like last year at me like he did with the other guy....
I would whisper in his ear that I will kick his freaking ass when I see him outside......He's a little *******fffffff.JT

I know the guy you are talking about. I would think there are plenty of people who would donate to charity to see him get smacked around a bit.
