Has anyone done this, or at least added up the parts, paint, labor to do this? I may try to attempt it this year.
    Thanks

Yes, and a lot of folks gave him heck over using cobra badges and emblems. (I even objected to using the emblems.) For what the real stuff is going for now and Shelby and Ford's recent trips to court, I say let's clone them all and let the real stuff set unsold. Maybe after awhile a real Shelby would at least sell for sticker.
I hear the new Shelby GT may cost $40,000 or more. That's ridicilous and an example of dealer greed.

Exactly why I had to go this route.
I recenlty recieved some insider info regarding the Shelby GT500 from Ford that I can not reveal (yet!), but will in time

Hear anything about the Shelby GT? I'd really like to have one but I have not going to bend overbackwards or empty my bank account to buy one.

at this point, i will not buy anything with shelby's name on it. he puts his name on anything now, so IMO, it diminishes the sentimental value. its rumored that he will also put his name on some of the the new bullits when they come out. just more ways to add mark up to vehicles for the dealers. i would rather buy a GT and make it the way i want it than to pay extra for a S.E.

Here's a thread with MORE info and answer than you ever thought you had. Including a parts list and everything.

Click here, it's an incredibly long URL (modularfords.com)

Note: He did NOT do an engine swap. He just has a Saleen supercharger on his factory 4.6L.

The guy on ModularFords has a pretty comprehensive list of parts as well as the part #s. My question is, do you need the bolts, screws, foam insulator, facia reinforcments, etc.... that he has listed? From what I've pretty much heard for teh front end, u need teh headlights, grille, facia, fogs, and maybe the radiator cover? Are all teh brackets, etc nessacary?
