Is the chamois two toned with the black or all chamois? That Candy Apple Red is a nice new color for 08, It is close to the Redfire but not the same I've seen them side by side.
I ordered it exactly 8 weeks to the day that it arrived. First it was due on the 13th. Then on the 11th. It arrived on the 14th. I'm picking it up today. I went and checked it out yesterday, I ordered the blk/chamois interior option, and the seats are totally chamois, and the interior is black & aluminum, except for two big oval patches of chamois in the doors. There's no wing, but there's a funky little antenna on the trunk, I'm assuming for the nav GPS or the Sirius satellites. The wheels are interesting, they are the 18" premiums, but the centers of each spoke seem to be a darker smoke color than the edges (in the pictures they are all one light silver color).
The regular V6 and GT's don't get two-tone interiors. When it says black/chamois, it means your plastic will be black and your leather/pleather/vinyl will be chamois. I wish they would have had one with that option on the lot when I bought mine. The antenna on the trunk is for the satellite radio. For 2008 (and at least part of 2007) the fanblade wheels come painted argent in the center.
Are mine the fanblades than? I thought the fanblades were the ones kind of like the style from the previous Bullitt (and current Bullitt)? Mine have the 5 thick spokes (no curves on them at all).
Fanblades look like, well, fan blades. Like this, but since you have an 08, you have the painted ones. edit here's one with the painted insides
That sucks... That means I ordered mine before you and you still got yours before me. Not fair! Where on Earth is mine? Railroad suckers.
Okay, okay! I'll get to work on the pics tonight. Yes, I have the wheels in that bottom picture with the painted insides. Looks very interesting because you can't really tell they're painted, they just look deeper in the middle parts. Anyway, what a great car to drive (just sold the 00 GT vert). First observations: Much quieter, smoother. Still doesn't like freeway expansion joints. Nav and Sirius work well. HATE the seat release, why can't it go back to the original position? WHY? My 00 GT did, so why can't this one? Wierd. Power passenger seat is really nice, so my wife can raise the seat. In the 00 she always felt like her butt was on the floor. I expected the top to go down further. Ambient lighting is ok. My 3 year old daughter LOVES it, so there you go. Makes a water bottle light up. Maybe the 3 year old in me will love it too. Still getting used to the radio going silent when you stop under an overpass (Sirius). The nav setup has a button called phone, but it doesn't do anything (in the vert I guess it doesn't work). And there's an equalizer setting called "Convertible" which really does improve the sound quality with the top down. HID lights are VERY nice, but so is anything compared to the glow worm lights in the 00. Why didn't they put auto lights in this? My Expedition has them.
Hmm Thats strange the one I looked at friday has the two toned seats in it Black/chamois. Do you mean not premium package?
I have always thought this option was garbage. Why would you pay $300 for some ricer neon lights in all 4 foot wells and a light ring on the cup holders? Just gay, I think.
