I was wondering, ive been doing a little research on what i want to do next to my car. are there any shift kits out there for my 2004 GT automatic? and have any of you had them and noticed much of a difference?

I did that in tandem with the Transgo StgII kit, replacing some parts the transgo kit had with the recommended practices of the J-mod. Also put in a new valvebody to the j-mod specs, hardened shafts, and a 3200 stall TC + B&M tranny cooler. Money well spent IMO

don't bother buying a shift kit. the J-mod is all that you'll need. i did mine, and with my tuning, it shifts nice and soft at low throttle and fast and hard at hi throttle.

I agree with this as long as when you're in there you replace all the stock parts that the J-mod doesn't concern. They dont last too long in a car that never saw a tranny cooler.
