Slotted & drilled Rotors for 89 Lx drag car. Are they worth it?

For a drag car i would not be adding all weight and rotating mass of all the 13 inch cobra stuff.

Although me personally, i'd goto 5 lug and use the strange setup.
I'd wait to upgrade brakes until you could afford to do that.


As far as slotted and drilled or not, most racing kits don't offer any but that.
But anyone that thinks they can tell the difference on the street is delirious. As far as i'm concerned all they do is make for excessive brake dust.
 
If you're concerned about the strength of the stock 4 lug rear axles shearing from excess torque. On my 93 Mustang I used the large diameter 11/16" drive studs on a 4 lug pattern. The car has gone a 9.12 @ 152.44 without any issues concerning the studs. It saves you the money of having to buy all new wheels for your ride.
