i've just got my friends 1995 gt together. i put gt-40 y aluminum heads. fms 1.6 rr's. e303 cam, off-road h pipe. cold air intake. 70mm throttle body. bbk shorty headers. it starts up fine. i managed to get it to idle fine. it will run great at all throttle positions. the only problem is that it smokes alot. does not smell like coolant or oil.doesnt run hot (idle for 15minutes then a quick drive around the block). stays on the cold side the entire time. no water in oil. some water went down the h pipe when i pulled the old heads off but its been running for at least a half hour since.i put my hand in exhaust for a minute barley any water. i still think its a head gasket but dont want to pull heads again. anyone know what it could be??? should i keep running it if it is a head gasket or will this hurt it

Yeah, what color is it? Could be moisture. Let it get up to operating temp and see what happens.
