My mom has had a old snowmobile sitting in the shed for years, it was bought brand new and has maybe 20 hours riding time on it, the thing is in prestine condition, it is a 78 skido citation 300 cc........

last year i pulled it out of the shed after it sitting for 20+ years, it fired up pretty easy but when i took it out for a ride i noticed that if I worked it real hard or kept it at full throttle for more then 2 or 3 minutes it would start to bog down and eventually die it would act like its running out of gas.... once i babied it for a bit things would be fine.....

well just the other day i pulled it out again, i decided to put in some new plugs and change some old suspect fuel line but it was doing the exact same thing......
There is compression is both cyls
its a twin cylander 2 stroke engine with single carb

On old carbs that have been sitting I like to take them aprt ,clean them out and replace the gaskets. More of a cleanoutm than a rebuild, but it helps.
    I say try that.
