Ordered it from a local place here Christmas eve. So when I have it off plan on getting rid of the intake silencer. Question though, would it hurt/help to extend a pipe from the fender where the intake goes in on the engine bay side to the bottom of the inside of my fender? Not taking the stock air box out but to try and help air get pulled from under the car into the intake track.

It might hurt, the first puddle you hit. Cold water intakes, FTL, unless hydrolocking an engine sounds fun? :)

Just as long as you are sucking in air from the fender you are all set. I wouldn't extend the pip to the bottom

I would get rid of the stock box and have the air filter drawing from within the fender. Burr. cold air.
