So i stold the stang and went to teh dark side yet again( so far i went stang, camaro, civic , stang , camaro). I wanted something a little more comfortable. I was happy getting the stang down to a 12.4 car but further i went with the car more not fun it was to drive everyday. So i picked up this 99 camaro ss with 15k miles on the clock. . I've done a couple things to it. It has long tubes, true duals(xpipe to magnaflow mufflers 4x9s), pro torque 3000 stall, custom shift kit with .490 boost valve to keep line pressure up, 17x9 black zr1s, nitto drag radials, and have a prokit, polyurethane tranny and motor mounts, bmr chromoly lca, and waiting on my relocation brackets. Car went 13.5@101 with a clogged cat(old exhaust set up catted y and slp dual/dual catback). The da during that run was just over 4800:eek: . Def feels faster then my stang and nice being able to put down runs like that at full weight not even the spare was pulled. I havent been around in a while becasue i joined the air force :flag: . I no longer live in ny i'm stationed out at luke afb in phoenix az

yup mustang went 12.4 on a day of a da of 300. The camaro went 13.5 with a clogged cat and a da of 4800:jaw:(over 105 degrees at 9pm at night) . Big differance in conditions. Correct both and the stang is the same basically and the camaro is around a 12.6/7. Stang was 3250lbs on prostars with slicks and skinnies camaro is full weight 3/4 tank of gas on a 17" rim with a nitto drag radial which suck btw..weight is just over 3600lbs. 2 diff tracks also atco which is preped very nicely compared to speedworld in az which well prep sucks ass unless its an even then its decent. Its like comparing apples and oranges
    edit:
oh yea that was the first time out with the car and first time out ever with an auto. Used to launching with a 5 speed figured launching an auto is a piece of cake but there actually is a science to it go figure

Sorry, I couldn't resist, even though that is the best color for those cars, and the ones I come across that color look good to me.

    Huh?

This doesn't make sense to me, explain please.

I've had 11 Mustangs, a Cougar, an F150, and 1 freakin Chevy pickup, I will never buy a Honda. I'm pretty loyal to Mustangs/Fords as you can tell.

Some of the Stangs were parts car btw.

I think he was directing that comment to the OP.

To the OP- Although I'm not a big fan of Crap-arrows, that one looks pretty nice with the silver body, black upper, and black rims. You could have done a LOT worse!

Eh, he could pick on my 4.6, but my other two will run with it.
I'm not scared of LS1's, but I just got to make sure I'm not in the wrong one of my cars (04GT)
