Thanks Blkr05Retro! Yeah, my last black car was in Okinawa Japan 24 years ago as well. A daily fight with coral dust and rust. But I stuck with it. I figure that if I could keep that one shiney then I can do the same with this one too. More experience, more time and certainly more money 20 years later!!!

Where have ya'll been obtaining your Zaino? Directly from Zaino or is there a less expensive source?

The only place to get it is directly from them... although you may look on Ebay...

Wouldn't wax/polish protect the clearcoat though?

Racing the rice way. But back then we got it running then tended to the outside appearance. My father was Air Force and stationed at Kadena. Racing, diving and wokring for Bose.. Nothing else!

I thought it might have had some thing to do with the military. 24 years ago, I was fresh in the Navy and driving a 72 Mach 1 waxed with Turtle Wax.

Thats looks amazing. White is a difficult color to bring out the luster. Excellent job! Looks like you just poured the paint on before the pic. How can you post pic's instead of thumbnails.

The wax will...to an extent (polish does not protect, it just shines). But the chemicals are also breaking down the wax barrier. So your wax coat won't last as long.
