    Hey guys,

I just had my 347 installed and it is now running. The car does not move with anything more than 1/4 throttle, and nearly dies if i push the accelerator any further. My combo is as follows.....

    347
    AFR 165
    Trick flow track heat
    E cam
    75mm tb.
    75mm MAF
    30lb inj.
    255 pump
    and all supporting mods
    all new sensors..ect..

This car may not run the way it would when it is tuned, but i would think it would still run decent. There is also a shake at around 1500rpms. any help would be greatly appriciated,

    Thanks,

    Lenny

You will need to describe the problem in more detail.

    Have you pulled the codes?

The first thing I would do is hook it up and datalog (not sure which tuner you are using?). The logs might tell you where you car is falling on its face.

Stock eec, and untuned. Would it run that bad though? I'm almost positive that a 2.0 jetta could keep up

    Lenny

The tune is not gonna be real close with the stock pcm

    but

It ought to be close enough to run better than that.

You most likely got something silly that is not as it should be.

    Look for stuff like

    wrong spark plugs
    plug wires not right
    big vaccum leak
    exhaust restriction
    fuel restriction
    dizzy off time
    bad coil
    valves too tight

    stuff kinda along those lines

just check EVERYTHING all over again and you'll find it.

    Good Luck Lenny

Car seems to run really rich. checked wires, replaced wires. Nothing to restrict exhaust. took it off though, and checked it. clear. checked and replaced coil. autolite 3924s. triple checked order of wires. How do i go about checking if the valves are to tight? Also, a strange thing happened today. car remained running like *****, but stopped at the grocery store, and ran in. came out 5-10 min. later. got in the car. drove to the light. usually i push the throttle until it begins to bog down (a little less than 1/4 throttle.) and let off a touch. but the car didnt do it so i mashed on the gas and it got up and went through 1st, 2nd , and 3rd. Tried it again, and same result. What would cause this? any ideas guys. car has alost 500 miles on the motor. thanks for all the help.

I suggest taking it back to the people who did the work. I wouldn't touch, remove or test anything. Also, the stuff you did do, I would not tell them you did it because they may try the finger pointing game. Take it back and have them test drive to repeat the condition while you are with them in the car of course.

Just curious. Why did you go with AFR 165 instead of the 185s?
