speed-cal install question

can i install a speedcal without getting under the car?

i really want to hook the one up i'm getting today, but dont wanna make a trip to the parents house to get a jack for te car.

is it possible to do it all from inside the car?

Nope...gotta work underneath to access the speedsensor...

Depending on how high the curbs are where you are at you can drive your drivers side front and rear tires up on the curb. It will still be a tight fit, but I've been there and done that.

you would have to jack it waaaaay up to get up under there...I used a lift...no way to do it inside the car...

ok, i just installed it here at work, all inside the car. i guess having small hands pays off it was a tight ass fit, but i was able to get the vss plug off and back on and its all working great now!

Will the speedcal fit a 97 AUTO and if so do you need to take the shifter out as I have looked and dont see anyway possible of doing this? Help me out guys that have installed it on your car, especially if its an auto. Thanks

The speedcal will work in an auto equipped 97 GT.

A speedcal looks like a box with a large wire running out of it. It allows you to keep your odometer and speedometer accurate when changing rear gears and tire size where a chip or tune cannot.
