squeeky rear end

everytime i go over any sort of bump or even little descrpancies in the road my rear end squeeks. Sounds like someone havin sex on an old bed. heh.. I'm still under warranty so i brought it to the dealer to have them look at it. They said that the noise is coming from the aftermarket trailing arms. I'm new to the mustang platform. What are trailing arms and does anyone know where in the rear i can find them. Ford told me to have them lubed up and the noise will go away.. but they wouldn't touch it because it's not factory. Sheisty bastards.. lol

I'm guessing that trailing arms are what we call control arms. Since you don't know what they are, I assume that you didn't buy the aftermarket ones. I would start out by changing the control arm bushings. It may not fix the problem since the aftermarket arms are most likely the culprit.

Are they positive thats the problem? I had the exact same sound in my car but it was actually the exhaust pipe rubbing against the axle.

I have stock exhaust. Do you really think it'd rub?

hey, if I want to lube these bushings, what am i using? jsut regular axle grease or wd-40 or something?

After I put in my MM full length SFC, all the squeaks went away!
