starting issues

    I pulled the motor and trans out of my 95 v6 to paint it. Got the car painted, put motor and trans back in, replaced clutch and starter while it was out, but now the motor turns over very slow, starter sound funny. please help, its for my 16 year old son.

    Did you get the correct starter? Is it bolted in tight? What exactly do you mean by "sounds funny" ? Is it louder ?
