Steering Column Clicking???

Is this a frequent problem or known issue (95GT)? When I wiggle my steering wheel back and forth, it makes a clicking noise inside the vehicle. It sounds like it is coming from under the instrument cluster. Are there any "u-joint" type joints in the steering column that may wear out?

I am wondering if it is cheaper to get another steering column instead of replacing whatever is clicking... It is strange that a steering column clicks, first for me.

Mine also does that....It seems to also have a lot of "play" in it.

There is the u-joint and that's gotta be the problem, but I am not 100% sure.
