still searching for vibration

how much would the outer balancer ring on 93 stang gt have to move to cause engine vibration ?checked TDC and its of by about 3/4 of an inch before lining up with #1 terminal,no noticable wobble at idle. car seems to run fine no miss don't think it jumped time,maybe motor mounts,is that enough movement on balancer to cause trouble,vibration after 3000rpm gets worse as engine speed climbs:shrug:

Any movement of the outer ring is bad. If the elastomer bonding is bad enough for the outer ring to slip, it's bad enough for it to come completely apart and tear up parts under the hood. Sounds like it's time for a new balancer.
