strange noises

    my 93 lx 2.3 is making a rattling/crackling noise when I get up to about 2800 rpm until i hit about 3200 rpm. it only makes it in this range and it sounds kind of like electricity crackling but i'm not sure exactly because it comes and goes so quickly. any thought as to what it could be? thanks for all help.

    What would cause that? It still has the factory speakers. It doesn't even have a radio right now because i'm waiting on a wiring harness to put the new one in. I'll look into that though. my boss is a wiring genius

    would installing mew speakers fix this prob? if that's the cause that is
