I will be taking delivery of my white '06 GT soon, and I would add the twin blue stripes along the hood, roof, and deck. Also rocker stipes that would have "G.T. 500" in the correct place. My goal is to have the stripes look as close to a 1967 Shelby as possible, which means the exact color and spacing as the original. Does this mean I will have to have the stripes custom painted? I don't think that decals will work, do you?
I would greatly appreciate any advise. Thanks.

you can have decals made of anything. all they need is dimensions and colors. but, paint would be a better choice.

Graphic-Express.com sells self-adhesive stencils for paint applications. Find the style you want and order it over the phone, so there is no confusion over which set(Left & Right side) to order. I did the G.T. 350 stencil, and had it painted the same color as the LeMans stripes. You can find the correct stripe dimensions and layout for the Lemans stripes by using keyword: Shelby Stripes. Good luck.

Thank, Boss. Did you do the painting yourself? Can you post some pics of your car?

Does anyone know how much stripes cost to be painted. Because paying 500 for painted ones is a lot different than decals for about 100. Also, do decals last and stick on the car okay? Is it ag to put them on/line them up?. Thanx

The decals last just fine and can be removed if you decide you don't like them. Paint is another story.
