I have an 08 mustang gt, and was wondering if the supercharger that comes stock on the shelby gt 500 would fit onto my car properly. Also Roush makes an additional supercharger for the gt 500 with 600 hp. would either of these fit my car? Is there any safety things i may need to change like the brake, suspension??
The GT500 superchargers will not fit your car. There are many supercharger kits that will work nicely on your 4.6 though. The stock internals will not hold 600hp for long anyway and the stock clutch won't last long either. As with most power upgrades, it's a good idea to ensure that brakes and suspension are up to the task. Another item you'll want to look at is instrumentation. If you can give us an idea of what you're going to be using the car for, we can be a little more specific about suggested changes. Some good superchargers to look at would be Whipple HO, Kenne Bell, Roush TVS, among others.
I was wondering if it would fit because my dad has the 07 gt 500 and got an upgrade so i was thinking i could use the supercharger that came on it, but sounds like it wont fit right.
