ok, i know about most of the superchargers on the market, however, i need to find one that does not VOID my wife's warranty, if there even is one. i am pretty sure the common ones void it, Paxton, Vortech, ProCharger, but what about the Saleen, Roushcharger, or even the one offered by Ford Racing (which i believe is made by Whipple)? i know most dealers will say all of them will void the warranty, but our dealer is a little more reluctant than most, and they do all our work, including upgrades. i know the Saleen and those don't put the power out that the others do, but i am not building a race car, just a fun little daily driver for my wife, and yes, she can drive, so i am not afraid of letting her have more power...

i am pretty sure the saleen and roush will not void warranty if installed by a ford dealer.

    YES!!!

I had my Saleen Supercharger installed by a SVT Ford Dealership in order to keep my factory warranty until its over...

However, the car is performing and feeling great with no warranty problems...

    So, I guess it's a mute point...

Go Saleen or Roush. I'd suggest Saleen, just because I like the looks heh :D

I like the Saleen too. does anybody know about what kind of power these put out on a stock motor, with nothing more than axle back exhaust? also, do the Saleen and Roush make the whining noise associated with most superchargers? i hope so, i want to hear it if i pay all that money for it...

Not sure about saleen or roush chargers...but I do know that the Magnacharger has that "03 cobra" whine to it. There is a video floating around here on the site if you look for it.

The Roushcharger sounds just like an '03 Cobra as well, and the Saleen is a little more quiet I believe.

My Saleen Supercharger runs pretty quietly...

There is a hint of whistle but for the most part, it does not generate the whistle/whine of a vortech that you may have heard...

When I pull up to another car, no one knows that the car is supercharged until I unleash its fury!!!

I run it with a 3.6 pulley which is about 7.5LBS of boost so it's not the stock 4LB boost, but also it's not the 10LB boost of the 3.2 pulley...

Its worth the money with upgrades!!!

The Saleen is the real sleeper of the bunch. No one will know what's under the hood until you stomp onthe peddle.I installed one on my 05 GT 5spd last month.Went with the 3.6 lb pulley,39 lb injectors ,along with the 95mm MAF from wmsracing.Totally stock exhaust. With a nice middle of the road tune from a local tuner here in Connecticut ther motor on a Mustang dyno put down 427 rwhp @6200 and 404 lbs of torque at 4400 rpms. I am very happy with this set up.You don't need go WOT to feel the power. It's really a fun car to drive now, just need to improve on the stock suppension as it will roast the tires in first and second gear.I would not hesitate to recommend the Saleen.Installation not to bad took two of us about 11 hours to complete.

zoomerman, how many lbs is the saleen on right now.im not sure but if its over 8 typiccaly wouldnt you want to do some internal work(heads, cams, etc.)?im jw because im lookin into the whipple system and it looks the most productive over any magnacharger, roush,or even vortech.

NoFear06, I haven't installed any boost gauge yet but on the dyno was making about 7.2 lbs @6200.What the stock 4.0 pulley on the dyno made about 4.5 lbs of boost.Like I said before this set up for me is great .plenty hp and torque and no reason to worry about the motor coming a part.I have not heard of any one blowing up a motor as yet with the Saleen S/C even with hiher boost.

McQueen, what did you find out from your dealer.

I was told by several dealers that adding any supercharger would void the warranty, however they said that Roush will put a warranty on the drivetrain for 3yr/36K mi. but it is not as efficient as the other options out there.

mattblasi, same thing they told you, if added now, it would in fact void any warranty on the motor, as long as they could prove the SC actually caused said damage...yes the Roush offers a warranty on the SC, but to me, it's not worth it to void something i paid extra $$ for in the first place, at least not at this time. for now i will put a JLT cold air intake on it with the SCT Livewire when they become available in january and be done with it. after all, it is my wife's car, she can drive, but she don't HAVE to have more power, 300 is really enough for where we live...

After talking with the local Roush dealer, the warranty will be good if and only if they do the work.
