Hey guys, I just bought this 96 Cobra which has some really nice upgrades on it already, mainly what I'm concerned about is a vibrating clutch pedal. I figured it was the throw-out bearing so I went in to replace it. After i got the transmission out, it's a T56 by the way, I found that the input shaft on this trans has a housing that isn't connected to the actual transmission, but instead floats between the trans and clutch. Can anybody verify this is correct? I've never seen an input shaft housing like this before, they've always been bolted to the actual transmission case. The guy I got the new throw-out bearing from said that it's a self-centering bearing so I guess this housing is just to protect the input shaft itself?

Let me know if you need more clarification, but it's really bothering me, every once in a while when I'm really pounding the clutch, I'll get a really bad vibration and i think it's due to the clutch fork bouncing around.

Lil help please.
