Test Drove a new '08 C6 Vette

Test drove an '08 Vette over the weekend and I have to admit it's a beast, makes my Cobra feel like a Taurus! The brakes on the car are amazing and acceleration just plain wicked. I drove the base model 6.2L LS3, I can't imagine what the Z06 would feel like.

The Chevy employee pricing program is very tempting!!!!!!!

and lighter, and better weight distribution, and better suspension, brakes....also have 1.6 liters on us - that's like another 4cyl. I drove the C6 LS2 2 years back, that was a nice car even in an auto, a stick LS3 must be the tits.

the ls3 is animal. Its got a good 125hp on ya.

Honestly though, with the economy the way it is and the uncertainty of my job situation I might hold off but it sure is tempting as hell!!!!!!!!!

Power wise my car is stock so the LS3 (430hp) has a big jump in HP and torque (424 ft.-lb.).

I'm a responsible driver but when the power is there it is definitely tempting to mash it every now and then. A teenager with little driving experience shouldn't be allowed to drive a car with that kind of power, that's just my opinion.

I got a ride in a new Z06 this spring. The pull was incredible and didn't let off a bit as it approached 7000rpm. The most amazing part of the car, is the chassis and suspension. It generally hooks first gear.

yea man the new z06 is amazing basically take what you drove add 75hp and subtract 100lbs and some fatter tires and there ya go lol

I'm a big mustang fan but also a muscle car fan so if I had a choice between a new Z06 or a Shelby GT500 I might have to go with the Z06.

I'm sure the GT500 is also blast to drive but it's a big boat compared to the vette

a mustang will always be a muscle car. The c6 z06 is on the verge of being a supercar.
