is hitting one, which I did on my way home from work last night. Now my car reeks and the smell is apparently impervious to carwashes. Does anyone know what to do to get rid of the smell? :damnit:

I'm thinking of jacking the car up, and filling one of those fertilizer things you connect to garden hoses with vinigar and spraying the undercarrage down thoroughly, and then wash it with a powerwasher.

Possibly take a sponge to it if I can reach...

You'll have to let us know what works ... I'm sure you won't be the last person to ever hit a skunk!!

I drag them for a while, before they finally pass underneath, pretty nasty, you can hear it hit everything underneath, luckily, I guess the ones I have hit were sprayed out already. good luck, it is some kind of oil if my memory serves me right. maybe a degreaser??? car washes have those for wheels and tires. not that their products are perfect though

I just found something worse, a turtle. I was driving on some back roads, and here was this turtle, all tucked in, and I came along, and I guess blew it up. I saw parts flying everywhere(shell fragements) I did have to pull over and look, then I hit a possum, a couple of miles later. luckily that was all for today. the turtle freaked me out though!

I just measured under my car, and basically anything taller than 3.5" isn't going under it in one piece!
