Theft control problem new chip?

I've been trying to get an exflood car back on the road. After playing stump the mechanic at forr, they finally told me that I need all new harnesses. I have new harnesses and a new dash cluster, but am told that they are not compatible because of the theft control module. I just got a suggestion that I should buy a performance chip and that it would allow me to program around the theft control module. Any ideas/input?

Yeah, you want to verify that PATS (theft) can be programmed to work with the new harness...you may need to re-program your keys to work with the PATS/new harness, doublecheck that, maybe ask a dealership? G'luck!
