just tryin to decide if i want to do a flat black on my 2000 gt when i get around to paintin it. i have chrome 03' cobra's and was gonna put my billet grill on it as well as do a spoiler delete with a gt front with mach 1 chin spoiler. also black out tail lights and all my windows except windshield is at 3 1/2 % tint including sunroof. if u want i can try to get some pics up of what she looks like right now, its not pretty since she is about 5 different colors.

Satin Black. I like the flat black cars and I think it would look sick with a Saleen body kit but your body work is going to have to be tits with a flat black. Any scratch is going to stand out too. But no billett grill. Billett grills are for trucks or escalades. If you are going flat then it should look mean, nothing but a running pony in the grill and paint it flat too. And all badges black.

ya well i can always take the grill out if it dont look good. and since i already have it cant hurt to check it out. but the body work will be done correctly, all the wet sanding, everything taken off and engine bay along with trunk. also the badges will be shaved. also it has a 2000 cobra r hood on it as well.

Flat black on anything but a 32 highboy tends to make the car look unfinished. Semi gloss black on a lowered Mustang however would look awesome.

A lot of people are doing flat black stripes stripes or accents these days. I think it looks good I do not think I would do en entire car in flat black however.

I paid around $600 , and still had a can of black paint and flat clear left over , if you know how to paint cars it beats paying a few grand to have some one else do it!

ya see gettin it painted is no prob for me, i go to wyotech and we have all the facilities to paint the car, but i was just wantin to get a good stealth look, but if i dont do a full flat black i might do a flat black stripe down the center of my 2000 cobra r hood startin from the sharp edges where the cowl starts to rise, on top of the factory silver metallic, and put the black fr 500's that i have on it.
