Now that I overcame a major hurdle with the smog issue, I can start to think about performance.

I have a new aluminum block in the garage. I was thinking of building it up into a strong 2v supercharged motor. Still wanting to be able to pass smog, can you guys shed some light on these thoughts:

If I port the stock heads, I can get over 200 CFM of airflow. This is 50 more than stock. Will this allow me to increase RPMs to 7000 like on a 4v engine? Can I keep the stock cams, or should I go with something bigger? How big can I go before the engine crosses the pollution limit?

Comp Cams stage ones pass smog. I have seen the numbers, you would have no problem passing with them and the blower. From the look of the stage ones I would think stage twos would pass also but they would probably be close, and I would stick with the stage ones if I were you.

Im not sure if the Trick Flow heads are going to have an E.O. number eventually (if anyone knows let me know) so you are probably going to have to stick with ported stock ones, Fox Lake or Livernois are what I would use.

For intakes go with a ported Bullitt cause I don't think the P-51 or Trick Flow intake are 50 state legal either.

Get all forged internals and you will be good to go with the motor.

When you put the new motor in you are probably going to have to step up your fuel system too. Larger injectors, 03 Cobra fuel tank and dual pump setup.
