I was coming home from work on Friday night and to break up the monotony of the long drive I saw 2 mustangs cruising. They looked like they were "together" so I fell in behind them to enjoy the ride. Well the one in front of me, a mid 90's GT gets over in the left lane so I get up behind what I thought was a 2000's model GT. Turned out to be a V6. Now the 90's GT was nice. It sounded great and everything. Because of traffic we didn't get on it and finally 45 miles down the road everything opens up.

We both get on it and I am dead even with this guy. I can't believe it. Then he has the nerve to give me a thumbs down. I'm thinking WTF. So anyway I get next to him again and I hear this thing going WWWRRRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Turned out he had a KB under the hood. So to keep this short, he had the following:

3.73's, Prochamber, dumped mufflers and a KB @ 8PSI and I could stay stay even with him and at some times beat him with just my little bit of mods. He said dyno numbers were 330 HP. He also said it wasn't running right and was detonating. He never got it tuned (other than OBDII scan tool) and put it on himself. All I gotta say, :notnice:

Yeap. Sure was. We even had medical personnel present (Sheriff). Since we didn't run sub 14's we weren't required to wear helmets.

That's what happens when you try to cram large volumes of air through a set of crappy, restrictive heads and intake. A set of aftermarket aluminum heads and high flow intake would have netted him close to an additional 100hp......with which he could.would have have "Eaten your lunch" :D

Maybe he was giving the thumbs down cause he knew his car wasnt running right?

Or was it a total arrogant "mine is better than yours, nana nana boo boo" kind of thumbs down?

That would be it. I think he either asked me if I had a V6 or if I had a 6-speed. Didn't really hear it.

    :D I've had it forever.
