Hey you wizzards of the 2.3l Mustangs, I have a non-turbo 2.3 and I am looking for a bigger throttle body. If you guys know of any throttle bodies on other makes, or model of car that is bigger than the ones on the 2.3, and are pretty much a direct bolt on, let me know. Thanks.

Not that I'm probably much help...but I wouldnt bother on a N/A 2.3. You will probably just loose some of what little throttle response you now have.

The throttle body on the 2.3 Mustang is not very restrictive at all. Therefore, a bigger throttle body will not increase power and may actually decrease throttle response.

A bigger throttle body should give better throttle responce, but no change in power. With a bigger throttle body, the same amount of throttle has a wider area, so more flow.

    I know

I know what kind of advantages you get from a larger throttle body, but does anybody know if there is a bigger throttle body that may come off a different car that would be a direct bolt-on to the mustang.

Racer Walsh sells a "Big Bore Throttle Body" or something like that for ******* $400.00!!! I don't even remember if they suggested it for turbo or n/a or what the size was, but I'm sure it's a waste of money.

There is no "bolt on" larger throttle body for the 2.3. The easiest one to use is from the 94-95 GT's and it still takes quite a bit of work.

    Waste of time.

Putting on a different TB (aftermarket or not) on a 2.3 n/a motor is going to be a BIG waste of money. You wont see ANY power increase at all. The stock TB is not the problem on these motors, it's the head, intake, exhaust.
