Yeah, sorry about that, I meant belt and edited it as such, but it didnt change in the main forum. Just looked closer, its not the timing belt tensioner, its the serpentine. It makes a kind of pop pop pop noise. Thoughts?
When my engine is cold and idling the plastic back side of the timing cover often rattles against the back of the cam pulley. I can grab the cover and hold it away from the pulley and the noise stops. After the car warms up for about a minute it stops doing it.
with that cover off and of out the way does it still do it? Sometimes the serp belt tensioner can cause a knocking/ticking. I also fixed the title for you
