gunna be a sweet day tomorrow in my area. I picked up a few new detailing products at Advance. One of them is ICE Liquid ClayBar. And the other is Liquid ICE Wax. I also picked up some stainless steel polish for my exhaust tips as well. ill let you know how this liquid claybar stuff works out. it seems promising peace out
The liquid ICE wax works alright. It's mostly for inbetween heavy detailing sessions to keep the depth a little longer. I just cleaned and iced the car today. Sometimes I get depressed when I get close enough to see all the imperfections, it makes me never want to wax again
I know the ice spray wax works wonders. Im sure the liquid wax will as well. Let us know how it works and ease of use.
the ICE liquid wax is awsome, makes it so you have to WAX wax it less and less. Hardly labor intensive at all
okay so yesterday i did not get a chance to wash the car yesterday for many many reasons. it was one of those days that just got busier and busier. anyway, i am going outside right now and will have pics for you later yeah i am quite skeptical as well. if it doesnt work its goin back. thats all i am sayin lol
Is it dings/dents or swirl marks and scratches? If its just swirls etc get yourself a nice buffer like a PC 7424 and do a multistep buffing/glazeing/waxing treatment and you will be happy again. Try the Poorboys swirl remover and glazes, waxes...
I miss the days of staring at my car at every possible angle and distance to look for imperfections in the paint......spending countless hours buffing and polishing and removing those imperfections. Now I just leave my Jeep dirty, looks better that way. You done yet? I wanna know how liquid claybar works. I swear by the real clay bars.
I HATE HATE HATE that stuff, nothing has ever made me more pissed off when cleaning my car than that worthless excuse of a wax. I've never had to use more elbow grease and curse words to get wax off my car, which never fully works which in turn makes me have to rewash the entire car with dawn to get the POS off and rewax with Zaino. I have a 80% full bottle somewhere around here that I was going to go shoot if someone really wants me to ship it to them. I ****ing HATE that stuff though. What a waste of money.
lol ... I've got some Meguires NXT that I feel the same way about. It looks good, for a day. It's some bull****. Liquid claybar??? Isn't that like, an oxymoron? Liquid/Clay? Either/or, no?
okay...the results: TurtleWax ICE Liquid Wax: Complete ****. It claims you can apply it in direct sunlight. You apply a thin layer and wait 5 minutes and buff it off with a microfiber cloth. It left streak marks everywhere. Luckily i only applied it to a small area. It is going back tomorrow ASAP Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Claybar: Bogus. The only thing it helped were "smudges" from past detailings and it got out the streaks left behind from the liquid wax. It is supposed to take out stains, oxidation, tar and a few other things. It does not do what it says. Although it may not work, i may end up keeping it because of how it takes away the smudges So since i was displeased i fell back on my other products and created a "cocktail" out of them. The results:
Thanks for trying the claybar stuff...it was so much fun to shake up in the store, I almost bought it LOL... Personally I like the ICE polish, but not so much on the entire car. It's great for stuff like mirrors, window stripping, engine hoses/rubber bits...anything you want shiney.
what about when it rains? does it run off the rubber/plastic? thats what happens to me when i make the plastic shiney with armorall protectant
since i was outside i also took a video of my exhaust. to my surprise, the sound is much different without the tailpipes on. The tail pipes are off because i am cleaning/polishing them
I wish I would have returned mine. I should take videos of me destroying it. I guess we can add you to the list of people who hate the ****?
The car looks great and sounds incredible! Those are magnaflow, right? Thanks for the update on the "ice" products. The only good product that I care for in the "ice" is there spray wax. Very effective and user freindly. No streaking that is. Keep up the good work!
