It kind of reminds me of my Camaro's Skip Shift. Its annoying to have, but not too much to worry about. Well I was at a stop sign when I started to pull away and all of a sudden my car started making a jerking motion. I look down and noticed the my traction control light was lit up. I hit the button to turn it off and problem solved. I could understand if I was flooring it, but it wasn't the case. This is the first time its happened to me. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I kinda don't want to install the traction control turn off device if I can help it. Once again am I going crazy?

All it takes to kick that TC on is for the sensors to see one rear wheel lose some grip and BAM! For all you know there could have been a small amount of sand/gravel/moisture on the road that caused one of your rear wheels to spin ever so slightly. The TC in these cars is not all that great and many people feel it's actually dangerous in some situations! Try to get into the habit of shutting the TC off everytime you start your car. Unless you are driving in rain on bald tires, I wouldn't use it. In fact most people have it shut off automatically at start up via a chip or Predator tune. My TC is permanently off.

I installed a default module. Wasn't hard at all. You tap into 2 wires on the harness and it defaults to off now. Very detailed instructions. The car never sees rain, and with the s/c, I didn't want to forget to shut it off and have it kick in while in boost on accident. That would be very bad....

Will that module that defaults it to off void the warranty if found?

Dealerships will sometimes do anything to not have to fix something so it wouldn't surprise me....

yep...try entering a major street going left and need to hit it a bit to get to your lanes and have TC kick in and leave you sitting there shuddering and bucking...because as soon as it kicks off if you try to go again with any torque back on it comes

Glad I'm not the only one. It was kind of embarrassing, like I didn't know how to drive the car or something.

LOL...First night I got it I took a buddy out in it and getting on the highway entrance ramp romped on it for him. Swore we had whip lash from the sudden lack of thrust to instant on again off again action.

(on a funnier note wife drove it and had TC engaged on her, she came home and told me she was really sorry but she may have screwed up the car, said it was real jerky leaving the stop light....I looked at her real serious and asked "please tell me that the green light didn't come on on by the gauges, she said " i think so...did it look like a wheel?" i said "yea, it does (pause) great (pause w/ a blank subdued look on my face) dont worry about it (pause with a scared look on my face) i think i can fix it"....and then went out in the garage. she hasnt drove it since....hehehe

really though It needs to be a variable type system...something that reduces throttle output, not something that shuts it down
