TRANNY FLUID

92 gt, fluid basically looks like oil. it just started to not want to go into high(4th) gear.. I check the fluid, man its almost the same color as oil.
I have had this car for basically 2 weeks and im having to fix things as they come my way. so im wonderig if thats a bad solenoid for shifting or just change the fluid and filter . cause man its dark brown, it drives ok and shifts ok, but going into high I have to back off the gas for it to catch then i still cant accerleate great? thoughts guys......

That an AOD? if the fluid is brown I would deff change the fluid and filter.

yeh auto, and it looks just like oil. it just started to nto really want to shift into high with out me letting off the peddle and then back on.. and even then i cant get it it kind of revs and i have to just accelerate easy..

Can we say burnt? Change it asap! I would start saving for a new tranny. Limp on this one until you can afford a 5spd swap.

yeh it was driving fine... still does just doesnt have the emmmppphhh i use to have, and have to baby it into high and no power when in high. but yeh 5spd is next if she goes bad on me.. get 20% off at advance so that def helps..

Probably gonna find alot of clutch material in that fluid.
