Hey Guys, I had some electrical woes a few weeks back and ever since the trunk sensor has returned the "Trunk Ajar" readout on the dash accompanied by the ever so annoying beep.

The sensor will cycle on and off every minute or two while driving and has become quite bothersome. The only way to clear it is to press reset on the dash but one can only do that so many times...

I tried zip ties to hold it permanently depressed which surprisingly didn't work. I also disconnected the sensor plug which didn't solve the problem either.

I was wondering if there was a simple way to fix this issue. I didn't want to go ahead and cut the wires because I think that might trip the sensor and leave me exactly where I am now. I don't mind not knowing when the trunk is ajar, but right now it's telling me it is when it isn't! I would really like to avoid taking her into the dumbnutts over at the service dept so any suggestions are appreciated.
