hi im generaly new to this forum and forgive me if i have written this thread in the incorrect part of the forums but i will proceed.

anyway i've had my car for about 6 months now, i was originaly driving a 1988 chevy beretta so we went to ford becuase i saw an 99 v6 or it might of been a 98 i don't remember and they only wanted about 8k for it, anyway we went to another ford dealership and they convinced me to get the 04 v6 i'll upload pictures soon, so i basicly rushed out of a peice of sht, into a great car, i love my car and its very very fast in my opinion. anyway i've always had a heart for imports and i know you guys will very much dislike that, i've also kept my options open to stay with ford, but being young and foolish i just want more speed, i've had many options to go with the gt, the mach1, the regular wrx, and my favorite the evo, the evo i would settle for of course but they want about 40 otd for them now for the 2004's which i refuse to pay, i could of got a 2004 otd, its a very fast car but i've heard mitsubishi had a bad reputation with they're motors, then comes subaru, i've heard they are more stable then mitsu's once again forgive me for bringing import talk into these forums i don't want to rise any hate, im just letting you guys know my options, now anyway the reason i've been into imports is for 2 reasons basicaly, the AWD, and the turbo of cousre, who doesn't want that wonderful BOV sound, so i was just basicly curious if i should just trade for a whole new car, or is it at all possible to turbo charge my car, people have told me to go supercharger with intercooler, but i want the sound, i really heavily consider a twin turbo, but im wondering if its possible, and the pros and cons, thanks i appreciate all of your replys!

Well, to me it seems like you're young and have a lot of money to spend (can be a dangerous combo). You listed so many options there that I don't know what to say, but here's my best. There is no official turbo kit for the 6'ers but you could get a custom one.
If you really like imports, and you have the funds to get a new one then go for it. Spend your money on what makes you happy.

Most American cars are built for low end power. Something turbo's simply dont offer. Superchargering is the way to go with a Mustang.

And I'll take a deep exhaust over a BOV any day.

There are companies out there making TC's for our cars. Someone post the URL to that turbo charging site, I think there is Turbo Chargers For Less, or something like that.

This single/dual TC argument has been around for quite some time, and for the six, from what I've read, it's always turned up to go with a single unit.
  5. 97v6Silver it came to $4.56 and i got $0.44 change from a 5,

you can TT and put a good tune and some tall gears on it and you would be runnin 11's but it's alot of money why don't you just get one of those things on ebay you stick in oyur exhaust that makes the BOV if you want to spend ~5k, just for the sound

you know, I may be wayyyyy wrong here, but it just doesn't sound like a Mustang is a car for you. It doesn't seem you're gonna be happy with it. Only judging from what I've read on this thread, but you'd probably be better of getting that Evo or something

Yes, you may want an import based on some info you've given, but you cannot believe the respect you will get if you do get a turbo in your mustang, and you do it right. Turbo setups will create more power than a supercharger, 95% of the time they do. The power issue, since american cars are made with more torque, a Turbo would only enhance the top-end, you wouldn't be missing much in the low-end if you can learn to drive it correctly. I say stay with the stang and turbo it, that's what I'm going to do...in 6 years :notnice:

a turbo setup done right will take a supercharged car any day of the week.... its alot more expensive however.... there have been twin turbocharged v6's to single and custom made to store baught kits.... if you have 4 grand plus another 500~ for dynotune you can get it done, i would start of with 4.2 stroker motor and forged internals then a turbo set up... you will be reliable and push 400rwhp EASY with low psi
