What are the main advantages of the R/T? Is it worth the extra 200? Just looking to basic tune and adjust for bigger injectors....
R/T gives you the ability to datalog. You can get more in depth with your tune this way. A chip may be a cheaper option for you if you're just looking for a basic tune and adjust for the injectors. Jake
What is needed to tune a car, just a tweecer and a laptop? Or do I need to buy time on a dyno for a/f?
My friend said a chip can increase our hp by 25%. I didn't believe him. A chip won't help a car with very minor mods right?
If you want to get into self tuning with the Tweecer you need to data log to verify your changes and see what the various sensors are telling the pcm. Trying to self tune and not being able to gather data would be like going to the strip but not being able to know 60', et, mhp, and the like. Later Grady
I thought I wasnt gonna use the Data logging, so I 'almost' got the base model...Im so glad I didnt.. You need a Dyno with A/F readings for WOT tuning, but you can just use the Laptop and datalog for tuning issues related to driveability. I dont know anyone that got the regular over the R/T GL...RC

I've never heard of her. So I'm going to have to say no. The A/F ratio can't be tuned directly through the Tweecer without the use of a wideband sensor. What you can do is alter your MAF curve which is an air/fuel table, which does have an affect on your A/F ratio (to an affect). You also have fuel tables and spark tables that can be altered at different loads or RPMs. I'll leave the Hardcore explainations to Grady and Dave (both whom have posted in this thread) because they not only have the best grasp on this thing, but they are excellent at explaining stuff - something I'm terrible at if you haven't already noticed. If you are going to self tune you need to be able to gather data and use various programs to crunch the numbers, graph the data, and the like to see the trends in that data. The Tweecer has a playback feature but I rarely use it. You can't determine the af ratio under all conditions unless you purchase a wide band and get a 02 bung installed for the wb's 02 sensor. You can have the wb's output sent to the pcm which allows you to see the af ratio in the dataloggs just like the other data such as rpm, pulse width, spark and the like. Having a wb is needed for the same reason as the Tweecer with the RT option. You don't need either to make adjustments for tuning but without them you don't know where you are starting from and you don't have any way to verify if you are getting closer to your desired results. With a wb you can adjust your af ratio without using a dyno but you will have to use the street. IMHO, this method duplicates real conditions such as load and the like much better that a dyno but the down side to it is ...... its not as safe due to the high speeds needed to get the top end of the maf curve correct. I don't see the equipment that I've purchased to self tune any differently than the intake, fuel pump, lt's, etc. That equipment is just another go fast part that is needed for me to get to my goal. btw .... If you go the chip route the Pro will do the same basic things using similar equipment while your car is on the dyno. Hope this helps someone on this subject of tuning. One last thing ....
