My cousin took her V6 to a local test and tune last night , car is a 98 model with 130K miles on it , she already had a flowmaster dual conversion catback hooked up to the stock midpipe and K&N filter with silencer removed , car has a GT rear axle with 3.27 gears and traclok , best time last year was a 10.5 in the eighth at 65 mph , over the winter we put on an underdrive pulley , new plugs wires and gutted the front two cats , last night first pass was a 10.3 at 67mph , before we left she ran back to back 10.1's at 68 and 69 mph , on street radials , I think next time we go we are going to take the heavy bullit wheels off , especially the 10.5s and 315 tires in the back off and put on some prostars with a drag radial , put a 93 octane tune in it , and take the spare tire and some extra weight out of the car and see what that does , because there was a guy there with a 97GT that couldnt run faster than a 9.7 at 72 mph ....

Go for it. You should also look into monotube shocks, shifter, a HD clutch and a CAI. And if you really want to have some fun with that 3.8 look into doing a split port swap.
