V6 Rear End?

    You really do not need to double post. If it is tech then place it in the tech forum. It you want to talk about nothing in particular that is what talk is for.

    Next, you have a 7.5" rear end with 3.27 gearing.

    Gearing is 2.73 in pre 99's

    I knew that they were in the 87-94, but also in the 94-98. Damn, that is twice I have gotten burned twice lately.

    I guess since I really did not like the body style of the 94-98, I did not really get detailed oriented in the specs.

    Did you blow your rear end out?

    I have a friend with a 99 V6 and he stripped half the teeth of his ring gear, and messing up the entire planetary housing. He ended up finding a rear end out of a 96 and changing the gears with FRPP 3.73's, and recalibrated his speedo. It all worked out in the end, except the fact that I straddled it all the way home in the back of a cavalier :rolleyes:
