Are they metric? The reason I'm asking is because when I installed the K&N it came with a brace to hold it up and I had to remove and reinstall a couple of bolts to get it on. Anyway, the socket was on the loose side and I don't want to ruin the bolts if I ever have to put the old airbox back on for dealer warranties. Thanks.

YES, it is metric... I don't remember the size off hand.

You can pretty much depend on EVERYTHING on your Mustang IS metric.

Good luck to you, I have had the K&N for 4 years on my '05 and it does make a difference in performance in my opinion. I had to make my own Air Box because of some other aftermarket parts but you should have a pretty simple install.
