Mine is a 91 LX 5.0. And as you may of read im having trans problems. So, Im looking for a rebuild kit. I just want to know if it is a World Class T-5 or not and how can I tell? I want to make sure I have the right parts. Because I was told that in '90 they went WC but I just want to make sure. Please Advise. Thanks

2 Tell without taking it apart you can pull the bell housing off and just below the input shaft there is a bearing cup race. It will say TIMKEN if you have a WC.

If it's the original trans, it's world class

Non-WC only came in late 83's, all of 1984 and the beginning of 1985.

Unless someone swapped your trans with an early t-5, it's WC.

I think i vaguely remember "WC" being written somewhere on the top cover as well.

    QUick and easy way.
