I need to replace the plastic covering that goes between the hood and windshield. It is the long narrow plastic part below where the the wipers attach. Mine is cracked on my 99.

Anyone know a cheap web site for parts like this? Anyone know what this part is called?

    John

I believe the cowl cover is what you are referring to.

Do not try to install the new cowl unless the ambient temperature is at least 60 degrees as they crack very easily, especially when cold.

Do not ask me how I know this :(

Ok, thanks all for the information. I did happen to stop at a local dealer yesterday and it was $170.00 in Austin.
I will try to find a better dealer on-line.

Thanks Again for the name and part#

If you want to check into used parts...

I have purchased several parts off a wrecked 99 Cobra for my own 99 from CJ Pony parts. You may be able to get one in great shape for less. CJ has a huge bone yard so they are a great place to look for used stuff. Call Bill at 717-657-9252 and tell him George Cradic sent you.
