what does the starter wire connect to?

someone had installed an alarm system b4 i bought this car...it doesn't work so im removing it...they had a plug that connected to the blue wire that then ran into a relay...since i removed there made up plug and relay i dont see where the factory starter wire plugs into anything? the starter wouldn't turn over or do anything until i connected that to power so i assume its the starter wire but it goes into a wire loom so i can't follow it. can someone help me. its blue with a stripe and has a black elbow plug.

like he said. usually that wire will run into the relay and then back out of the relay. you should be able to just reconnect the two ends together after taking out the relay.
