After hearing 100s of sound clips, i cancelled my pypes mid muffler system. I decided it wasnt the sound I was looking for. from all the brands I heard imo borla and mac have the best sound. with borla out of my price range I decided on mac but on their site it says the mufflers are "aluminized" what the hell is that??

it just means that they are coated in aluminum. inside and out. it slows rusting. most muffler systems are aluminized

I thought many were stainless steel which also does not rust.

higher quality parts are stainless. the less expensive ones typically get coated to keep costs down.

Well if you go with the MAC's be prepared for an awful drone especially while cruising in 5th gear. I had em for a couple of months but sold them on Ebay. If Borla is to much money, try Bassani!

Have you looked into Magnaflow? They're a nice compromise between Mac's crappy quality and Borla's high price tag. :nice:

Oh yeah!!!!! I love going out to warm up my car at 4:45am when I work dayshift:rlaugh: The first minute or so when cold it idles about 1500 til it kicks down. I keep it under 20 mph while leaving the neighborhood though.
