What is an engine that has been sittin worth

I need some advice on a engine that is in an 83 ford f250, it is a diesel 6.9 factory new but the numb nut that owns it has let it sit for over 10 years. What would this engine be worth now after sitting for over 10 years, I have tried to turn it over and it doesn't budge, but that may be because of the compression.
