So i found something interesting today. While i was bored waiting for some people i started taking apart my dash. To my discovery i found a Dallas Mustang SpeedCal all hooked up under, and i never noticed it before. Ive owned the car for a few months now, and after looking up the code for the panel on the inside of the speedcal i learned my car has 3.73 gears installed. Now for Xmas my mom got me 410's. My question to you guys is although it may not be till winter or next summer when i go with a blower. Do you guys think i should swap in my 4.10's or sell the 4.10s and leave in the 3.73's??

3.73s are awesome for a vortech. You could run 4.10s, but traction may be an issue and you may have to shift to 5th if you run at the track. :notnice:

Keep the 3.73's. Traction will be horrible with the 4.10's and a blower.

where did you find the speedcal? I am convinced I have gears because my new car pulls harder than my other car did stock..

If you make me an off go ahead and PM me i may have a local buyer at 150 but if you want to up it to say 165 shipped we may have a deal.

For everyone wanting to know where i found my speed cal here is a pic. It was behind the shifter tucked all the way back. I got curious about that black wrapped wire and pulled it out.

Yack up your rear axle and count DS revolutions per rear wheel turn, and hope your speedo is corrected if you do have 3.73's or better.
