i know all the things u can get, but what are worth anything? i have a 99 stock v6, bout 90.000 miles on it, i want about 300-350 hp, i know thats alot, but a supercharge will give me around 260-270, so a few more bolt ons im sure can reach me to 300, so should i go turbo or super? and after that, throttlebodies? exhaust? what else, if not all else? peeps say trade in for a v8, but then where will i be? i wanna dust v8's with my lil 6'er, so any help will do great, also the better brand names too, thanx guys

with 90k id build up the engine first.some forged rods, pistons.get some good ported heads maybe bigger exhuast and intake valves.a good strong cam and ported upper and lower.

Throw on a 11psi procharger and you should be realativly close if u have a 5 speed. if u have an auto u can also get close but the turbo would get u there with no problems. one of the guys just sold his custom turbo setup he made with a stock block and made some good number i think around 320rwhp and 370rwtq the new guy that has his kit has a few issues but still made in his 5 speed 307rwhp and 379rwtq

no one makes a working turbo for our cars..everythings been done custom

you would probably be better off with a v8. it may cost less to build and it also sounds better.

don't forget the 8.8 rear axle and stronger tranny cause you'll more than likely break them both with that much power. The stock bottom end in our cars is weak as well.

So good luck, but it may be cheaper to get a V8, or like you said with time and money you could do it.

You may be OK with stock stuff but be prepared to replace whatever breaks if anything does.

I agree...buying a V8 is only going to give you a big head and you'll probably have to roll around stock in it for a while before you can save up to start modding it out. I don't know a whole lot about modding out higher mileage cars, in so far as what you should start with, but my intake and exhaust did wonders for my car from the stock setup..Just a thought.
