I tore into my T5 because 2nd gear was grinding. I wanted to get just the 2nd gear Syncros, but the only thing I am able to get is the output shaft assy for $400 plus 2nd gear for $80. I wonder if I am stepping on my dick to put all that money into fixing the tranny or should I just get a new one.
The reason I am supposed to get the output shaft is due to a gear that is part of it.(It is the gear that the syncros/second slide around on.)
