How dark is it? And I hope it doesn't have any weird tints. And are they getting rid of Tungsten Grey?

edit--won't let me post a link to Brad's site, which has more on this--oh well.

This is the color I really want to see on a Mustang. (Or a GT, but they're not making anymore).

I guess Stang Net is afraid of the competition.

I'm betting it's that really dark gunmetal grey Ford uses on the F-150, Ranger, and I believe the Focus. They used to have it on the previous Mustang too.

I wouldn't bet on it being Dark Shadow Grey. They would just call it "Dark Shadow Grey" since they have used it on previous Mustangs (03 & 04?) with great success so it would have great recognition. I'd say they most definitely WILL at one point use DSG again, but I wouldn't think that they'd change the name... although they HAVE done that before...

I'd like to see them come out with a Grey/Silver that the 05 Concept Car had. Tungsten was unofficially touted as being very similar before the 06's were produced, but I know from experience that Tungsten is definitely not the Concept color :( So I'm hoping that "Alloy Grey" will better match that color...

    Still no photo of Alloy.
By the way there is no "Grey" in the name.
In the 07 order guide is is called "Alloy Clearcoat Metallic" color code G5.

Tungsten Grey Clearcoat Metallic carries on for 2007.

Screaming Yellow and Legend Slime are dropped for 07, replaced by Grabber Orange (formerly Valencia)) and Alloy.

Since Satin Sliver is also a carry over color for 07, it leaves me still wondering what Alloy looks like.

As far as it being Dark Shadow Grey, Ford has a history of recycling colors and just changing the name. But since the color code for DSG was "CX" I doubt that alloy is the same as DSG.

Since they're carrying over Satin Silver and Tungsten I'm betting it's a darker grey too since the others are lighter. It'd be cool if it's almost a charcoal grey.

    Here's a clue regarding Alloy.

It must be fairly dark as the only stripe colors that can be ordered with Alloy are white or gold.

Alloy is available with all 7 interior colors.

    Three greys on one car???
    Satin Silver, Alloy, & Tungsten.

Talk about bland. Should've kept Screaming Yellow to go with Valencia to brighten up the palet. And a real blue would be nice. Haven't seen that in a few years.

It's going to be very dark. The description I got sounded a lot like DSG (which is what my LS is). I was told it is close to black. Very dark metallic gray.

I would think the color would closely resemble a metallic black. If it's like what I've seen it on some Jeep Grand Cherokee's it will look great!

Dark grey metalic!? Argh! Great, sounds like I'll have another color to add to my "short list" of possibilities in '07. I had finally managed to narrow it down to either redfire or tungsten. They're KILL'N me! :)

StangsUnleashed has photos and a video of a GT500 thay they are claiming is Alloy. It looks pretty much black to me although the lighting isn't the best. It could be sort of a metallic black. Ford had a metallic black a few years ago (around 1997 ?) on cars like the Taurus and I think the MK-VIII. The color didn't stick around very long.

I think that Redfire and Tungsten are the two best colors for the New Model 'Stangs! I've got Tungsten, and Love It!
