When is too soon to wax?

I should be getting my new Mustang GT vert soon and mentioned to a friend that I would be waxing it right away and was told not to. He said something about letting the paint cure for a year first. This does not sound right to me, what's the word?

You can wax it right away. Chances are the dealer will do it anyway.

Just get it off the dealer's lot first.....

a year...lol....car paint only needs like 2 weeks. And only use liquid glass, best thing out there.

I doubt the dealer will be given enough time to wax before the car leaves the lot I have been a ford owner since my first car (Fiesta, Escort, Focus) but never had a car I felt was worth keeping very clean. I will actually have to call a few friends over to teach me. A couple of the guys at the local mustang club hinted that beer and pizza would probably get all the help I need

The paint on the 05's is quick cure. By the time you get it off the rail, the paint is good to go.
