I should be getting my new Mustang GT vert soon and mentioned to a friend that I would be waxing it right away and was told not to. He said something about letting the paint cure for a year first. This does not sound right to me, what's the word?

You can wax it right away. Chances are the dealer will do it anyway.

a year...lol....car paint only needs like 2 weeks. And only use liquid glass, best thing out there.

I doubt the dealer will be given enough time to wax before the car leaves the lot :D I have been a ford owner since my first car (Fiesta, Escort, Focus) but never had a car I felt was worth keeping very clean. I will actually have to call a few friends over to teach me. A couple of the guys at the local mustang club hinted that beer and pizza would probably get all the help I need

The paint on the 05's is quick cure. By the time you get it off the rail, the paint is good to go.
