I am looking at ordering a 2007 GT and would like some input/pictures of Charcoal and/or Satin Aluminum instrument panel finishes. I believe the Charcoal is new for 07, I have not seen many of them and was wondering what other peoples opinion of the Charcoal was compared to the Satin Aluminum finish.

    Thanks for you opinion/adivce.:D

I am biased since I have the Charcoal IUP but, I prefer it over the satin.

I am leaning toward the Charcoal.

I went and did some looking today. I do like the charcoal instrument panel trim, saw it on a GT today at a local dealer.

How rare is the charcoal trim most cars I see have the Satin, might make the car worth more later on.

    Here is my e-mail:rms09900@comcast.net

    Thanks,

I'd get charcoal if I were you. The charcoal looks a lot better than the satin. Kooldawg, your car looks almost exactly like the 07 that my family just picked up

I also have the charcoal panel in my car with the dark charcoal leather interior. I had originally ordered the car with the satin aluminum panel but like you, went back and did some more looking at cars on the lot and changed it to the charcoal panel. When the car arrived I was glad that I did. I have received lots of comliments on the dash.

Yeah the charcoal is better IMO. My buddies '05 has the satin and he says it can get kinda bright with the right sun angle

I went with the charcoal on my white / charcoal interior 2007 GT. It blends in very well and I agree with wotfr above, the sun won't blind you.

if you use a photohosting site such as photobucket, then you can upload bigger pics. you just upload your pics to the host, then copy the code from the host site.

    Satin

I have a 2007 black GT with dark charcoal interior and satin trim. Can't go wrong either way. I really like mine and have had several compliments. Depends alot on color of car.

Here's mine with the dark charcoal dash. I like it a lot and blends in more with everything black on and in the car.

I love driving around with my dash vents shut when not used, it looks sweet. I think they look like cyclop smilies...

I have the light grey interior with the satin dash.

To me it opens up the interior and makes the car feel more roomy Plus it flows better with the shifter knob, door sill.

As far as the future, I don't think one interior will be worth more than the other. I am having Carroll Shelby sign my center cluster. Maybe that will add to the future value???

I would say no added value unless your car IS a Shelby to start with. It will however add tons of personal value to your car!!!!!

Given my car's color scheme, I think the satin looks better...

I have the satin IUP with dark charcoal interior, I ordered that way after seeing the charcoal IUP. If I am going to put accents on my interior, I am going to make sure they are a different color than my interior. The satin matched the rest of the accents and after months of debate I couldn't see myself with the dark IUP. Too each their own, but I haven't regretted the choice yet.
